The Cork Lions Club is a long-standing charitable organisation in Cork, Ireland. Established in 1957, we are part of Lions Clubs International.
We are a group of local men and women from
all ages and walks of life. Lions are a voluntary
organisation who support deserving causes locally and
internationally. Cork Lions run fundraising events and
support other organisations to run events. Every cent
raised goes directly to the benefiting charity. Members
get involved to a greater or lesser extent depending on
their availability.
Since our foundation, we have remained committed to serving the local community of Cork, bringing together volunteers from different walks of life to make a meaningful impact.
“We Serve” is our guiding motto — which means we step up where there is need, whether that’s supporting families, youth, charities or people facing hardship.
We value empathy, integrity and collaboration. By working together with volunteers, partners and supporters, we aim to create a more inclusive, supportive and thriving Cork for everyone.
There are currently just under 30 Members who are active in both fundraising and Services. The Lions are a non –profitable voluntary group (Registered charity number RCN# 20205915) where every Euro collected goes directly to benefiting Charities. In most cases the expenses of the event are met by the organising Members themselves.
The Members of Cork Lions Club are just ordinary people, men and women , from the local community who come together to improve the quality of life for people who find themselves in a less fortunate situation than ourselves.
